The directors and members of Mountain Community Chorus are pleased to invite all interested and capable singers to join us each September and February in rehearsals for our annual Christmas and spring concerts.
Auditions for the Christmas concert season are held in September and auditions for the Spring concert season are held in February. All auditions and rehearsals take place on the first floor of the Clegg Fine Arts Building on the Young Harris College campus. The first rehearsal of the season will begin at 7 p.m. at the conclusion of auditions. $20 season dues are payable at this time.

In 1974, Dr. James Carley founded Mountain Community Chorus under the premise of bringing together members of the community to learn and perform fine choral literature. Dr. Carley explained the mission of the chorus: "The aim was to organize an amateur group who would enjoy singing quality choral music to the best degree of perfection possible; to sing a varied repertoire (with something for everyone) so that singers and our communities will be proud of our accomplishments." In 1985, when Dr. Carley retired, Mr. William Fox became director of MCC. In 2008, Mountain Community Chorus was incorporated with non-profit status.
